Privacy Policy

Qosmic provides ecommerce audit, analytics, and AI-assisted growth tooling for merchants. This policy applies to Qosmic web properties, the Qosmic Shopify app, and the services that support those products.

• Account and workspace information, such as the name, email address, domain, and login details a merchant or team member gives us.
• Public storefront information, such as a store URL, page content, screenshots, metadata, and audit findings generated from public pages.
• Shopify store information authorized by the merchant, such as shop metadata, products, orders, customers, and customer event configuration needed to provide audits, analytics, and Opportunity support.
• Merchant-owned order and customer facts used for analytics, such as totals, timestamps, product identifiers, customer identifiers, and aggregate purchase behavior. Qosmic does not request Shopify optional protected customer fields for customer name, email, phone, or address in the current app configuration.
• Consent-gated storefront event data from Qosmic web pixels and the storefront runtime, such as page, product, search, cart, checkout, exposure, and click events; session identifiers; paths; referrer domains; and UTM parameters.
• Support, billing, security, log, device, and usage data needed to operate, debug, and protect the service.

• Run storefront audits and generate merchant review material.
• Connect Shopify data to analytics, recommendations, and Opportunity context for the merchant's own store.
• Help the merchant review, plan, preview, and measure growth ideas. Qosmic does not create irreversible store changes without merchant approval.
• Provide support, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
• Protect Qosmic, merchants, shoppers, and the platform.
• Comply with legal, security, and Shopify platform obligations.

Qosmic web pixels are designed to run only when Shopify's customer privacy controls permit analytics processing. Pixel events are minimized before they leave the browser: Qosmic uses paths rather than full URLs where possible, records referrer domains rather than full referrer URLs, and does not intentionally collect shopper email, name, phone number, or address through the pixel.

Qosmic may use first-party cookies, local storage, or session storage to remember page-session state and count consented analytics events. Merchants can uninstall the Shopify app to stop Qosmic storefront collection.

We share information only as needed to provide and operate Qosmic, including with infrastructure, analytics, authentication, support, security, and payment providers; with Shopify as required for the Shopify app; with a merchant's authorized team members; or when required by law. We do not sell personal information.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Qosmic, maintain security and audit records, comply with legal obligations, and improve the product. Merchants can request deletion, export, or access by contacting support. Some backups, logs, legal records, or security records may remain for a limited period when required for legitimate operational or legal reasons.

We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect merchant and shopper data, including access controls, scoped tokens, transport encryption, and operational logging. No internet service is perfectly secure, so merchants should contact us promptly if they believe an account, store, token, or integration has been compromised.

• Uninstall the Qosmic Shopify app from Shopify admin.
• Disable the Qosmic theme app embed in the Shopify theme editor.
• Ask Qosmic to delete or export workspace data.
• Use Shopify's customer privacy tools to control pixel behavior.

We may update this policy as Qosmic changes. The updated date above shows when the policy was last changed. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
